My husband and I went here for our anniversary and had the most beautiful experience. The restaurant has so much charm, and the service was exceptional. The manager arranged a private room with flowers and hearts on the table! Each course was delicious and made with the freshest ingredients. I already cannot wait to come back!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The welcoming atmosphere and seasonal menu was truely exceptional. Our meal was also paired with beautiful wines local to the region that made the whole experience unforgettable! We enjoyed a dinner outside in their beautiful terrace. The food is more fancy and expensive compared to the nearby traditional trattorias, but these really cannot be compared to Groto De Corgnan. The evening and food was very good, accompanied with well selected wines from the region. The restaurant is owned by Australian lady who did everything to make all customers feel welcome, and she even drove us home after the amazing dinner which we are still very thankful for!
Would expect it soon on the Bib Gourmand list of the Michelin Guide. Truly delicious food for a comparably low price. Signature is the pure red Valpolicella wine pairing, which is great for to find new wineries to visit.
Exquisite dining experience. Very intimate and homely atmosphere that, despite poor weather outside, had a very welcoming outside entrance. Staff were attentive, swift and highly capable; giving helpful recommendations and sharing the background of dishes and drinks alike as they were poured to pair with each course. The dishes themselves are creative and utilise traditional, seasonal and local ingredients to create a lasting experience. Highly recommend.
In a beautiful old house, with a heartwarming story of friendship and realisation of dreams, tortellini with ricotta and nettles “handpicked from the mountains by husband”, cooked to perfection by a passionate chef and served with care by knowledgeable staff, paired of course with other foods with locally sourced ingredients and best of the Valpolicella wines. This is what my family chose for our last meal in the Valpolicella this trip.
